GR-NET provides you term of use. GR-NET reserves the right to modify the trading terms and conditions, at any time.

The following terms and conditions will apply to the use of the GR-NET company located at www.gr-net.gr. Domain Name Management and Assignment Regulation with extension .gr

The client / user and / or future owner of the domain names must read, understand and agree with the .gr Domain Name Management and Assignment Rules and all amendments thereto.

In particular, he should read Article 8 of the Regulation which states the reasons for rejecting a domain name application. The EETT website http://www.eett.gr contains all the regulatory texts and any amendments to them.

Upon acceptance of the Terms of Use, the Customer declares responsibly that the information / data that he / she submits to the request for registration of any extension is accurate and true.

Limitation of Liability

GR-NET shall not be liable to customers / users for damages that may arise from the execution or non-execution of their order. It also reserves for the time delivery of products / services in cases of force majeure.

Service Ownership Issues: The use of GR-NET E.E. products and services for the purpose of profiteering, extortion, unauthorized resale and any malicious activity is prohibited. GR-NET reserves the right to disable the service when these issues exist, until the issue is investigated and resolved.

User Responsibility.

Users agree that they will not use GR-NET's services - for:

  • Sending, publishing, e-mailing, or otherwise transmitting any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, offensive, annoying, slanderous, defamatory, obscene, , libelous, violating someone else's privacy, expressing racial, ethnic or other discrimination.
  • Damage to minors in any way.
  • Adult content (porn), gambling and everything else that is against Greek law.
  • Sending e-mail for promotional purposes without the consent of the recipient.
  • Bulk mailing for promotional purposes.
  • Send, publish, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any content for which you are not permitted to transmit it under the laws or contractual or management relationships (such as internal information, proprietary and confidential information acquired or disclosed as part of an employment relationship) or covered by confidentiality agreements).
  • Sending, publishing, e-mailing or otherwise transmitting any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of third parties.
  • Send, publish, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any software that contains software viruses or any other codes, files, or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy, or otherwise disrupt the operation of any software or computer hardware.
  • Deliberate or unintentional infringement of applicable laws or regulations.
  • Harassment of third parties in any way.
  • Collection or storage of personal data about other users.
  • Distribution of pirated software, torrents, MP3s and movies.
  • Logging on or attempting to connect to an external database (s), ie databases that do not belong to the same hosting account.
  • Forum with links to content for which you are not permitted to broadcast under the laws or contractual or management relationships. In a proven breach of all of the above reasons in the paragraph, the account that caused the breach is immediately suspended until the incident is investigated, and the client is asked to provide explanations. In the event that satisfactory explanations are not given within 24 hours, the hosting account will be deleted without further notice.

Use of Resources

The client agrees that intends to make reasonable use of the resources of the hosted server, that not all server resources are intended for its own use, and acknowledges that it shares the server resources with other users.

The limit on server CPU usage is 10% / server CPU in shared hosting packages, or traffic that does not exceed 1,000 individual visits per day. If the processes performed on the client's hosting account exceed the consumption of 10% of the resources, the client is informed accordingly to terminate those processes. In the event that these processes cause or may cause a malfunction of the server and are to the detriment of other customers, NGR-NET reserves the right to terminate the processes without prior notice to the customer or even to shut down the hosting account if deemed necessary. In this case the client is suggested to switch to VPS or Dedicated Server.

The server resources available are intended exclusively for use within GR-NET E.E. customer and partner hosting accounts. It is forbidden to dispose resources in any way on third party sites in any form, including but not limited to remove graphics or texts from third party sites located on a GR-NET server, running banner exchange programs, etc. The use of irc bot and chat rooms is explicitly prohibited , due to the overload caused by the above applications on the servers.

The customer must keep the code of their websites up to date with the latest updates provided by the creators of the software they have installed.

The customer must install a firewall in order to protect their web pages, with the latest updates provided by the creators of the software they have installed.

In the event that an intrusion into the customer's website is detected by third parties, the company bears absolutely no responsibility and reserves the right to disable the website and the customer's account without prior notification.

Also, the company reserves the right to update the code of the client's website without prior notification when this becomes necessary for the correct operation of the server.

Outgoing email messages must comply with European Directive 2002/58.

Sending emails to a list of recipients is only allowed if the email addresses have been acquired through a double opt-in process (double confirmation).

The customer is obliged to provide the company with all the evidence that the email addresses have been obtained through a double opt-in process.

The company reserves the right to deactivate the email service if it deems it appropriate.

The company does not keep copies of the contents, files, data, bases of hosting services that have expired.

Domain names that have expired and have an active hosting account, if they are not renewed or reactivated within 3 months, they will also have their hosting data deleted without any refund or any other obligation on the part of the company.

Backups

GR-NET maintains backup copies of guests on shared hosting web sites. Copies are maintained as long as the hosting account remains active.

Bulk Sending Emails - Spam Mails

Bulk sending of emails for commercial purposes for advertising is prohibited by Greek law.

If a bulk email is detected or a notification is received from the data center for sending spam mail, the hosting account will be terminated without notice.

Security.

RETURN POLICY

The customer can request the cancellation of the cooperation with GR-NET, in case he is not satisfied with the level of services of our company regarding the stability, security and speed of the servers.

In this case, the customer is refunded the full amount of his subscription unless this amount includes additional costs (purchase or renewal of domain name, bank or credit card fees, installation costs, additional services), in which case the above costs are deducted.

The guarantee is valid only for new hosting packages and can be requested by the customer up to 5 days after the start of the relevant hosting package.

ON WEB RADIOS

Customers who have opted for a web radio service are required to arrange for any required music playback licenses.

The cost of issuing a license to reproduce music works is borne exclusively by the owner of the web radio as well as any claim from copyright holders.

It is explicitly stated that GR-NET EE bears no responsibility, and the responsibility lies entirely with the owners of the web radios.
